What are Nova Threads?
Nova Threads are a type of thread lift treatment that use sutures made of polydioxanone (PDO) to lift and tighten the skin. These sutures are placed under the skin and create a subtle yet noticeable lift that can help reduce sagging and improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

The Nova Threads Procedure
The Nova Threads procedure involves a few simple steps. First, we’ll conduct a consultation to evaluate your skin to assess if you are a good candidate for Nova Threads. If so, local anesthesia is applied to the treatment area to reduce discomfort as the threads are placed. Next, the Nova Threads are inserted under the skin using a small needle. The threads, made of polydioxanone (PDO), are then gently pulled to lift and tighten the skin. Any excess threads are trimmed to ensure a natural-looking result. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size and number of areas treated.
Nova Threads Recovery & Results
After the Nova Threads procedure, you may experience some mild swelling and bruising, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days. You can resume your daily activities immediately following the procedure, but it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise for the first week after treatment. Results from Nova Threads can last up to 18 months, depending on the individual and the treatment area.
